Launch Quickly and Launch Often
Launch Quickly and Launch Often
Many entrepreneurs fall into the trap of thinking that a launch is a one-time event. They spend months or even years perfecting their product, and then they do a big, splashy launch, hoping to make a big splash.
This is a risky strategy. If the launch fails, it can be devastating.
A much better approach is to launch quickly and launch often. This means:
- Getting your product to market as soon as possible. Don't wait for it to be perfect. As Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn, has said, "If you aren't embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late."
- Treating every launch as a learning opportunity. Use the data and feedback you gather from each launch to make your product and your marketing better.
- Continuously iterating and relaunching. A launch is not a singular event, but a continuous process of improvement.
By launching quickly and often, you can reduce the risk of failure, learn faster, and build a better product over time.
