Set up per-inquiry or per-order arrangements
Per-inquiry (PI) or per-order (PO) advertising is a powerful way to reduce your marketing risk and pay only for results.
In a PI or PO arrangement, you partner with a media outlet, such as a TV station, radio station, or magazine. The media outlet provides you with free advertising space or airtime, and in return, you pay them a pre-arranged fee for each inquiry or order that is generated.
This is a win-win for both parties:
- You get free advertising: You don't have to pay any upfront costs for your advertising, so there is very little risk involved.
- The media outlet gets a share of the profits: They are motivated to run your ad in a good time slot or position, because they only make money if you make money.
PI and PO arrangements are not available with all media outlets, but they are more common than you might think. It's always worth asking if a media outlet is open to this type of arrangement.
By setting up PI or PO arrangements, you can get your marketing message out to a wide audience without having to risk a large amount of money. It's a classic guerrilla marketing tactic that can help you to grow your business on a shoestring budget.
