Steps to establish atmosphere of freedom
In atmosphere of freedom people can easier make better decisions.
There are multiple steps to get to this level:
- Build up talent density. You can build a company of high-performers and that will allow you offering more freedom.
- Increase candor. People in your team should get used to getting feedback.
- Reduce control. You don't need that many policies after first 2 steps. Removing policies will improve the level of freedom.
You can't achieve all the steps in 1 go. There are 3 steps required:
- FIRST
- Build up talent density
- Introduce candor
- Remove controls
- SECOND
- Strengthen talent density
- Increase candor
- Release more controls
- THIRD
- Max-up talent density
- Max-up candor
- Eliminate most controls
