Entrepreneurs are Everywhere
Entrepreneurs are Everywhere
The term "entrepreneur" should not be limited to those who start their own companies in a garage. An entrepreneur is anyone who works within a startup, which is a human institution designed to create new products and services under conditions of extreme uncertainty.
This definition is intentionally broad and includes:
- Founders of new companies.
- Employees of large, established corporations who are working on new products or services. These are often called intrapreneurs.
- People working in government agencies, non-profits, or any other organization that is trying to create something new in an uncertain environment.
The common thread that connects all of these entrepreneurs is that they are working to create a new product or service in a context of extreme uncertainty. They all face similar challenges and can benefit from the same set of tools and principles, such as those found in the Lean Startup methodology.
