The Power of Affirmations
The Power of Affirmations
Affirmations are positive, present-tense statements that you repeat to yourself to program your subconscious mind. They are a powerful tool for harnessing the power of your Reticular Activating System (RAS).
How Affirmations Work
Your subconscious mind accepts what you tell it as reality. It cannot distinguish between a real perception and an imaginary one. When you repeat an affirmation, you are feeding your subconscious a new belief. Over time, this belief becomes a "band of steel" that shapes your reality.
How to Use Affirmations
- State them in the Present Tense: Phrase your affirmations as if they are already true. For example, instead of "I will be successful," say "I am successful."
- Be Positive: Focus on what you want, not what you don't want. Instead of "I will not fail," say "I am successful."
- Use Repetition: Repeat your affirmations regularly, especially before you go to sleep and when you wake up, as your mind is most receptive at these times.
- Create a Recording: Record yourself saying your affirmations and listen to it regularly.
Examples of Affirmations
- "I attract success."
- "Success comes to me easily."
- "I love to cold-call in the morning."
Affirmations are a simple but powerful tool for changing your beliefs and creating the reality you desire.
