The Data Component of the The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is about running your business on a handful of objective, activity-based numbers. This approach removes subjectivity, ego, and emotions from management, allowing for a clear and unbiased view of the company's performance.

By focusing on a few key metrics, leaders can get a pulse on the business on a weekly basis. This allows for proactive problem-solving, as issues can be identified and addressed before they become major problems.

A key tool in the Data Component is the Scorecard. This is a weekly report of 5-15 high-level numbers that represent the critical drivers of the business. The Scorecard provides a snapshot of the company's health and helps to predict future outcomes.
